China Unicom, Russian TTC to Build Overland Optical Cable

China Unicom is reportedly to jointly build an overland optical cable with Russian TTC (Trans Telecom Company), connecting China with Russia and Europe. This optical cable, with bandwidth of 10Gb, is expected to help China Unicom expand its business to Europe through TTC's affiliates. Financial details and construction schedule of this cable were not yet revealed.
